Marla Hayes earned her undergraduate degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin, where she developed a passion for storytelling and communication. She later worked as a technical editor, honing her ability to analyze complex information and communicate it clearly and effectively—skills that now serve her well in both negotiation and litigation. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, where she pursued her commitment to advocacy and helping others navigate challenging legal situations. Fun fact: Marla scored the highest grade on the Texas Bar Exam the year she took it.
Her path to family law is shaped not only by her professional experience, but also by her personal one. Having gone through her own divorce and custody case, Marla brings a unique level of empathy and understanding to her practice. Outside of her legal practice, Marla enjoys avoiding Austin traffic and spending time with her son, Stevie, and her long-haired weenie dog, Judge.
